Clinical and Counseling Supervision
MFT and PC Clinical Supervision and Training Services
Are you a MFT or PC seeking licensure in the state of Georgia?
Supervision is required for clinicians seeking licensure in the state of Georgia. We provide supervision for those seeking licensing as a Marriage and Family Therapist or a Professional Counselor.
Qualifications:
To qualify for supervision, clinicians must have completed a masters degree in a counseling-focused program and be employed and seeing clients under direction at a worksite approved by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists. Supervision, as required by the Board, can be provided offsite, i.e., outside the approved worksite. Information on further individual requirements may be obtained by visiting the website of the Ga. Composite Board at http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/counselors.
Clinical Supervision Services:

Clinical Supervision is provided through our practice by Dr. Joy Hafner Bailey. The period of time required for supervision is determined by the Board on an individual basis dependent on type of licensure being sought, whether or not a practicum and internship have been completed as well as other possible individual determinants. During supervision, client cases are discussed and attention given to the holistic professional development of the supervisee. There is no homework and no audio tapes are required. What is expected of you is hard work and a commitment to becoming your best. A steaming pot of tea and committed attention to your growth as a person and as a professional are what you can expect.
