Pamela Barge, LPC, NCC, Director
Ms. Barge earned her undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Her Master’s degree is in Counseling and Psychological Services from Georgia State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, GA License Number 5264) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC Number 244605).
Ms. Barge has provided psychotherapy for adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. Those settings included Decatur Hospital Inpatient Addiction Unit, Decatur, GA (where she completed her practicum and internship), Charter Peachford Hospital and Charter Peachford Cobb Counseling Center (where she served as Center Director) in Atlanta, GA. She also worked as a clinician and Certified Employee Assistance Professional at The Resource Center, a non-profit agency in Atlanta which provided services to many high profile clients including law firms, banks, and privately held companies. While in this position, as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), Ms. Barge provided post-traumatic stress counseling to downtown bank employees after robberies, and to fire and police personnel subsequent to job-related trauma.
Additionally she has served as Marketing Director for the Mental Health Division of Northside Hospital in Atlanta; and has owned and operated several small companies which operated on both regional and national levels. She has worked extensively within the managed care system and national sexual assault community with law enforcement, medical personnel, victims and their families. She has written and won national bids to provide capital equipment on state levels, planned and conducted training for professionals, and has written and implemented aggressive marketing and business plans. As a small business owner, she successfully competed with large corporations on a national level.
This depth and breadth of experience has given her a rich and varied knowledge base which she draws upon in the coaching and counseling of her clients.
Ms. Barge is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a clinical member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA-GA) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is also a Distance Certified Counselor (DCC) which assures you that she has obtained the necessary training and has demonstrated the skills and understanding to provide competent and qualified online and telephone services.
